Sweet little ostrich ? bag from the 1960s. Created by Triangle New York. I am not sure if this is true ostrich. It has all the tell tale signs... wrinkles in the leather, dimples in the bumps but for some reason I do not associate Triangle bags with luxury leathers. To be on the safe side I am going to price it the way I would any lovely vintage bag but not as high as genuine ostrich. Petite bell shape, with accordion sides and deep front flap. The leather is winter white. It has a gold clasp and adjustable heavy gold chain strap. The inside is lined with navy and gold faille with two open inside pockets. It is in wonderful condition, no damage inside or out. The only giveaway regarding it's age is on the metals which have a slight patina. A small bag, it has the following measurements. 6" tall 7 " across at widest point 2 1/2" deep Excellent Condition $85.00 |

Beautiful copper leather clutch by Mardane circa 1970s. The leather is a beautiful burnished metallic copper, softly gathered into a gold deco style frame. It has an optional gold handle which folds down into the bag when not in use. Inside is lined with taupe faille. There were two pearl hat pins tucked into the lining by the original owner. I left them there as a good luck memento. There are no flaws and the size is just right not too small but dainty enough to go into evening. It has the following measurements. 6 1/2" tall 9 1/2" across at widest point 2 1/2" deep Excellent Condition $48.00 |

Rich needlepoint handbag from the 1950s-early 60s by Jana. Romantic theme, needlepoint bag in mixed petite point and needle point. Young lovers from olden times embrace in a secluded pastoral setting. Scrolls and flowers frame the scene. Often these needle point bags are plain in back but this one continues on the other side with a bountiful bouquet of colorful flowers, buds and leaves. The faces of the couple are finely detailed in tiny petite point stitches, a very nice touch! The shape is boxy and rectangular, with black leather sides and handle. The short handle fits comfortably in the crook of the elbow and stands just under 6" tall. Inside is lined in black satin with one zippered pouch and one open pocket. The hardwear is gold. No signs of wear. It has the following measurements. Body is 6 3/4" tall 9 1/2" across 4 1/4" deep Excellent Condition $148.00 |

![]() A little gem from the 1950s. Ivory leather, ladies wallet with lithographed silk face by Aristocrat. From Aristocrat's Museum Masterpieces collection. The expressionist scene is copied from an Antoine Blanchard painting of the Moulin Rouge. Luminous colors shimmer on the padded silk background and the gold border frames it in elegance. The wallet opens to reveal all of the typical compartments...change purse, bill section, celluloid sleeves for pictures etc. NOTE: Although the wallet had never been used and was stored in it's original box one of the inside snaps came apart when I unsnapped it. It is on the flap that holds the picture sleeves not the change purse so it does not hinder functionality of the wallet. I think this was a flaw in the manufacturing. Everything else is perfect. I have always taken this type of repair to my favorite shoe repair man. He was excellent and very reasonable but has retired. I am going to leave this up to the new owner and am pricing with room to compensate for repair costs. You can certainly use the wallet as is. The wallet measures 4 1/2" by 3 1/4" and comes in it's original box. Very Good Condition (read text for explanation) $26.00 |

Funky and fun faux fur handbag by Morris Moskowitz. This unusual vintage handbag defies era with it's quirky style. Judging by the lucite handles and the fabric I am going to guess it was created in the late 1950s to early 60s. I have had a number of coats from this era which were made from the same material. Regardless of age this bag is a fabulous vintage find. The roomy sack-like body is done in faux seal, the color is a silvery taupe which would go well with absolutely anything. It has two large tortoise-lucite rings for handles with matching zipper pull. Inside is lined in faille with two large pockets. Large and roomy it has the following measurements. Body is 10" tall 14" across 3" deep Excellent Condition $85.00 |

Gorgeous 1950s-60s velvet purse with traditional zardozi metal thread embroidery from India. Zardozi is an ancient form of embroidery in which ornate patterns are created from gold and silver threads. The work itself requires great skill and costly materials. Original zardozi work combines different types of thin pure silver threads coated with gold which is painstakingly appliqued to a background fabric. Small pearls and beads or stones are added as embellishment. Here is a link to a site which explains the art of zardozi work. Indian Embroidery Envelope style purse with embroidered flap. Lined in black with long twisted satin shoulder strap. The bag is created entirely by hand every stitch! Since the artisans used no machine stitching anywhere these bags have a soft constructed look. A perfect size for evening it measures 5" by 8". The condition is very nice. All the embroidery is intact and still bright. The fabric shows a bit of age but is not worn looking. Excellent Condition $45.00 |

Sweet and Petite! Little black suede clutch with optional delicate chain strap from the 1960s. My photo makes this bag look larger than it is. In real life the body measures 7 1/2" wide and 5" tall. It is 1 1/2" deep at the base. The shoulder chain hangs 15". It is done in fine black suede and sports a top stitched cord detail down the center. Inside it is lined in black faille with a gold lined comb pouch and zippered coin compartment. The clasp is lovely. It is a brass abstract starburst. Made by Block a better bag maker in their day. Excellent Condition $42.00 |

Fabulous oversized 1950s evening bag in metallic
gold leather. If you find that evening bags
tend to be too skimpy then have I got the
bag for you! At first I thought the material
was gold vinyl but after closer inspection
of the inside edge I realized it is a coated
leather. This beautiful handbag has the classic
lines and size of a 1950s day bag but the
metallic gold leather makes it the perfect
accessory for your most fancy attire. It
is crafted well with gold piping at the seams,
brass feet on the base and nice gold toned
hardware. It is lined inside with buff colored
faille and has two inner pockets one with
a zipper. It’s measurements are 8" tall
(not including handle), 11 ½" across
at the widest point and 3" deep. I was
surprised not to find a label in such a nicely
designed bag, so I do not know the maker.
It was barely used and the only flaw I find
is a small spot on the metal clasp. This
may even polish off but I would leave it
be because it is hardly noticeable and I
would not want to risk marring the finish.

Elegant white on white beaded bag from the 1950s. I see a LOT of white beaded bags and it is hard to impress me but this one did. The quality of the beadwork is superior with its intricate use of crystal, white and ivory seed beads. Areas of the swirling pattern are raised giving it a wonderful texture. The frame on top which also acts as a clasp has prong set crystal rhinestones. The inside is lined in cream faille and there are two gold edged pockets. A little gold chain handle attaches to the outside frame of the bag. The Jolles Original logo is printed inside. As well as being a lovely evening bag this would work perfectly for a bridal accessory. The size is as follows 8" across by 6" high. I replaced one of the rhinestones which time had dimmed but the bag was never used and is in ... Excellent condition $75.00 |
