At least that is what I have been told
about Bruno Magli loafers. These wonderful handmade Italian
shoes are a Bruno Magli classic. The uppers
are woven strips of leather and crocodile
and the body of the shoe is solid fine leather.
The label reads Bruno Magli, Made in Italy,
Bologna. I believe they are from the 1980s.
Of course the entire shoe is leather inside
and out. The shoe comes up high on the foot
and the toe is tapered with a blunt end.

Vintage Peter Huber brown and white spectator loafers. Peter
Huber designed for Bally and Bruno Magli
before starting his own label in 1985. His
shoes were only available in the U.S. at
the most exclusive stores and cost hundreds
of dollars. These shoes are made out of the
softest, finest leather. Of course the inside
lining and soles are all leather as well.
Created in Italy they are handmade and beautifully
crafted. The uppers are white with a brown
band and brown leather tassels. The rest
of the loafer is brown. Once you have worn
a pair of handmade Italian loafers I am told
they are so comfortable you will be hooked
for life! The size is 10 AA (narrow) with the following measurements.
Length 11"
Width at ball of foot 3 5/8"

Early 1950s "snowflakes and leaves"
vintage necktie. A wonderful and whimsical
necktie! Not only is there a fun print but
it is done on a satin jaquard with fleur
de lis weave. I am very fond of this one!
The fabric is maroon and the print design
is done in yellow and cream. Though it could
be worn any time of year I think this has
a bit of a Holiday feeling. It has a label
which reads Bond Style Manor. Not too wide and not too narrow the widest
point measures just under 4".

1940s - 50s hand printed tropical bird tie
by Arco. The fabric is a rayon jaquard with bias
check in deep rust. The print is multi colored
with a tropical bird and palm trees. I believe
the fabric is rayon. Slightly wide it measures
4 1/4" across at the widest point. Nicely
made and fully lined. The condition is very
good it is not frayed or worn at all but
the left edge looks slightly darker. I am
not sure why and you can only tell under
close inspection under certain light. I asked
my husband to look and he said he didn't
see it but I do so I am mentioning it!

Hand printed vintage necktie from the 1950s.
The label reads Cohama Casual, hand screened by Royalist. This is my favorite! I love the rustic pine
cone print. The colors are an unusual combination
of deep violet, lavender-gray, ruby red and
cream highlights. A fairly wide tie it measures
4 1/2" at the widest point. The fabric
is a silky twill which feels like rayon to
me. Nicely made and fully lined.

Wonderful handpainted silk?, vintage tie
from the 1950s. The label reads Arco Cravats, Joseph Outlet Worcester Ma. On the back in script it says California
Border Paints, Hand Painted. The theme is
nautical with a jumping swordfish and boat.
Medium in width it measures 4" at the
widest point. I am sorry about the untidy
appearance of this tie. I neglected to press
it before photographing! I will make sure
it is neat as a pin though before I ship.
As with all handpainted ties the colors are
irregular. This is to be expected and not
considered flaws.
