This iconic vintage sarong dress puts the B in Bombshell!. It hails from the late 1950s - early 1960s and is done in a beautiful cotton sateen with abstract floral print. The colors are deliciously vibrant...shades of peacock and cerulean blue , lilac and violet with undertones of aqua and highlights of brilliant spring green.

The cut is all about curvy! .... generous bust, sculpted and detailed with surplice pleats. The midriff is fitted and it has shirred elastic panels on either side. The fixed wrap-over skirt has a pleated side drape for a sarong effect. The perfect dress for Viva Las Vegas if there ever was one.

A well made garment, the bodice is fully interfaced and boned then lined with self fabric AND for all of you jitterbug/swing dancers it also has a built in pair of snap crotch under pants... great feature for those high steppin' moves.

There is a center back metal zipper and the label says Smart Miss Miami. The size is a generous medium perhaps a smaller large. It has the following measurements.

Bust -Flexible because of elasticized panels 40' - 44" with a VERY large cup size at least a C if not more. If you are smaller busted you can always pad, there are numerous products on the market.

Rib Cage under bust - Flexible because of elasticized panels 33" up to 37"

Waist - 28"

Hip - Up to 39"

Very Good Condition -

There is one condition issue to note (see picture)...in front, on one of the front bust pleats, near the midriff, there is a small frayed hole that repeats completely through the fabric directly underneath. I did a light mending to prevent further fraying. Thankfully the busy pattern works to camouflage it. It really does not detract from the look but there is no denying, you can see it on close inspection. There are no spots that I can see and no fading.
