1940s Abstract theme vintage necktie. Men's ties were wild and wonderful during the post war 1940s. It was one way a guy could get a little silly without raising eyebrows and there was good reason to feel joyous, the long war was over.

This tie is done in an acetate twill with a Bold polka dot and stripe pattern. The colors are great.... dark and light purple with maroon and white. The label reads Custom Tailored,Thresher, 41 West St. Boston. As per usual for the era it's on the wide side measuring 5" across the widest point.

The condition is Very Good no stains or holes. The only signs of wear are a few very small pulls around the area where the knot would go.
