1940s-50s Half Circle Hostess apron

# 5527
1940s-50s Half Circle Hostess apron

An absolutely darling little half circle apron from the late 1940s - early 50s.

This style apron is a favorite of mine. I love the flouncy effect of the short 1/2 circle cut. It works especially well with the full skirts of the late 40s - 50s. This one is done in deep maroon cotton with a triple pink stripped edge and applied twin pockets also detailed in pink. The multi pink stripes are especially eye catching.

This apron has it's original tag, which reads By Lefort with the phone number and address in Winchendon, Ma. Note the old telephone number with the full town name! The waistband is done in the same maroon cotton with sash extensions.

A small hostess size, the apron measures top to bottom 16 ", as I said it is cut in a half circle.....the bottom curved edge measures 59" and the the full length of the waist band with sashes is 68".
