1950s cotton swing skirt XSmall# 1294
Vintage cotton print, full pleated skirt from late 1950s-early 1960s. The fabric is lovely, a soft fine cotton with a beautiful Batik-like print in olive and pale sage. The pleating is nice with a flat pleat panel front and back and small tucks on the sides. It closes down the side with pearl buttons and three more buttons at the waist. It has a nice swing to it and would be perfect rockabilly wear. It is shown with a petticoat beneath, which is not included. The label is a bit frayed but I think it reads SKIRTWEAR by Ernest Donath. I'm thinking cashmere and penny loafers would work well with this one, yes? The size is extra small.
Waist 24"
Length 25"

1950s quilted swing skirt Med/Sm# 1293
The MOST fun vintage skirt.
I just fell in love with this wonderful swing skirt when I first saw it. What a cutie!
It is a full circle skirt from those 1950s Bobby Sox days, what folks are calling Rockabilly now. The material is a crazy patchwork of different black and white cotton prints. This has then been machine quilted in a small windowpane pattern. The waistband is black grossgrain ribbon and it has a side metal zipper. Since it is a true full circle this skirt really swings with movement. It is shown with a petticoat beneath, which is not included. The label inside reads Loomtogs. It is med/small in size. .
Waist 26 1/2"
Length 28"

1960s Rockabilly Skirt set by Pat Boone Small# 5617
Teen Scene circa 1960!
Saddle shoes and bobby socks! That's all this outfit needs to make it the perfect look for your next Rockabilly affair. Two piece set consisting of fitted 3/4 sleeve jacket and full circle skirt. The fabric is a quilted cotton with tyrolean inspired print in shades of olive, deep pink and blue. Jacket closes to the neck with decorative brass buttons and has a tiny stand up collar in a coordinating print. The edges of the sleeves are detailed with same contrasting fabric. I photographed it with a thin matching belt from the same era. This was not original to the outfit but I thought it looked nice and I will include it although a belt is not necessary. I also photographed with a petticoat under the skirt to show off it's fullness. This will not be included.
A well made set, both pieces are fully underlined in cherry red cotton.
Wear the pieces together as a set or seperately as you wish. I think the jacket would look cute with jeans. You can also wear a light blouse under the jacket for another look altogether
The size is smallish with junior proportions, meaning the bust size is small in proportion to the waist. It has the following measurements
Bust 34"
Waist 26"
Hips free
Skirt length 23"
Excellent Condition no flaws to note

1970s Embroidered Midi Skirt Sm.# 5510
Not a Maxi, but a midi skirt from the very early 1970s. The midi skirt was a fashion trend at the end of the 1960s and into the early 70s. Long, but not gown length they skimmed the ankles and nearly caused a revolt amongst the mini skirt crowd.. Some women actually sent letters to their favorite department stores threatening to shop else where and you can imagine what the guys had to say!
Personally I loved midi skirts back in the day. I found the length to be romantic but not as cumbersome as the maxi. Nice boots were a wardrobe staple and worked really well with this length but so did chunky heels especially if they had T or ankle straps. This pretty midi skirt was made from fine black wool felt with ethnic inspired embroidery. The embroidered detail was executed in red, gold and white yarns. Tiny florettes are sprinkled evenly about finishing at the hem with a border design.. No makers label just a size tag.
The skirt is fitted at the waist and has open gathered darts. It is narrow over the hips falling to the ankle with just a hint of flare. It buttons up the front to the knee then vents open to the hem. This is where nice boots work so well because the lower leg is exposed especially when walking or sitting. No need for a slip because the wool has a smooth tricot backing. My taste would team this with a flowy black blouse, open at the neck as low as modesty would allow and fabulous wide belt... but that of course is up to you!
The size is small with the following measurements
Waist 24"
Hips 34"
Length from waist to hem 35"

1970s handprint wrap maxi skirt small# 5115
Breathtaking vintage hand print wrap skirt from the 1960s-70s.
The fabric was hand silk screened on cotton twill and created in St. Lucia by a small company called The Bagshaws. I believe they are still in operation. It has the blue and white signature label with double seahorse logo and The Bagshaws of St. Lucia W. I.
The modern patterns from this company are often floral but the vintage motifs are much more artistic. This one features an ornate Etruscan-inspired pattern with mythical mirror image birds. The colors are lavender and navy on a pink background.
The skirt a tie wrap with deep side vent. Most wrap skirts are flexible in size but this one has less leeway. There is a back under panel in pink that will peek out if it is on a larger frame. It says small and will work best on some one with the following range of measurements.
Waist 24"-26"
Hips 34"-37"
The length is 39"
Excellent Condition
