1940s NWT Mens Pajamas by Weldon Med/L# 5465
Never worn, with original tags, all cotton pajamas from the 1940s by Weldon. The illustrated paper tag boasts a Ful-bak seat with "no center seam to bind" and "U shaped tailoring for more bending, sitting, sleeping comfort" and a Ful-bak coat with "deep pleat for freer arm and shoulder action" No doubt about it these PJS were designed for comfort.
The fabric is the nicest cotton I've ever seen, silky and smooth like a good Pima or Sea Island cotton. It has a wheat colored background with tiny red and green pattern. I was surprised to see such fine fabric used to make pajamas but that's vintage for you....made at a time when quality was the rule. The top is boxy with long wide cuff sleeves, breast pocket and genuine mother of pearl buttons. The bottoms are wide leg with wide bottom cuff. They have a button fly with an elasticized AND draw string waist. The size is on the larger side with the following measurements
Top
Chest - 48"
Sleeve length from shoulder seam - 24"
Length from neck to hem - 30"
Bottoms
Waist is adjustable from around 35" - 38"
Outer leg seam - 43"
Inseam- 28" (in pajamas the inseam is less than pants because the crotch is lower for looseness/comfort)
Never Worn and in Mint Condition

1960s Black Brocade Tuxedo Jacket# 5464
Killer 1960s vintage dinner/tuxedo jacket! The fabric is a rich black on black brocade with black satin trim defining the collar, pockets and cuff edges. The body has a straight cut and is single breasted, closing with a single button. It has a rolled collar, flap pockets and chest pocket and is vent less. The vented sleeves end in a rolled demi cuff with two buttons. The hand set in lining is black satin. I'm seeing Frankie here, crooning away in a smoke filled lounge... smooth man.
There is no makers label just a blank name and size tag inside the inner pocket. The fabric and tailoring are very nice so I am assuming it was a better garment in it's day.
The size is a 38R with the following measurements
Chest (underarm to underarm) - 40"
Sleeves from shoulder seam - 26"
Waist- 38"
Length of jacket from neck to hem- 30 1/4"
Shoulder to Shoulder - 17 1/2"
Excellent Condition no flaws to report inside or out

1960s Bowling Sweater Med# 8072
The BEST vintage bowling sweater wouldn't you agree?!
The design is a V-neck cardigan done in creme wool with burgundy accents. There are two pockets in front. The embroidered applique in front reads Bay State Bindery '65-'66, with 3 candle pins and ball in the center. But the best part is the embroidered shoulder applique with the name LEFTY. This gem was done for our pal Lefty by the Bucky Warren Co. 149-151 Pearl St Boston. The size would be around a medium with the following measurements
Chest 42"
Shoulder 21"
Sleeves 28" long (with the cuff down)
Lefty sure must have loved this sweater because he took real good care of it. There isn't a flaw to be found.

It has short sleeves and a breast patch pocket. It is probably a polyester but I am not sure since the label does not say. Inside the neck is a Van Heusen label which also reads Van-knit.
