1960s Wide Ivory Belt w/ Etruscan Serpent Buckle Adjustable# 5480
Elegant dress up belt from the 1960s.
The highlight of this belt is it's stunning buckle. Twin coiled, Etruscan style, serpents in gold gilded metal join with a hook clasp. The necks of each serpent are set with tiny rhinestones. The buckle is impressive in size, measuring over 5" across (when clasped) and 2 1/4" wide. It is removable and can be used with any appropriate sized belt strap.
The 2" wide belt strap is ivory Naugahyde lined with real leather. Naugahyde is a patented vinyl on fabric material that was very popular in the 1950s and 60s (it's still made today). It was used most often in the car and upholstery industries but was also embraced by the accessories market as an alternative to leather. One of it's main advantages was that it came in every color of the rainbow but unlike real leather the color did not crack or rub off with use. At the time it was considered a wonderful innovative product and although I'm a "natural materials" girl myself, I get a kick out of Naugahyde. It's so of it's era, so Mod-ern!
There is no makers name on the belt and I could find no mark on the buckle but it is of beautiful quality so I assume it was a high end label.
The size is adjustable and can go from large to small. Right now it is set at a larger size of 32". There is enough length to add another 2" . So it's maximum length would be 34" but it can be shortened to any number needed.
Excellent Condition - No flaws outside, miniscule wear to the leather lining

1980s Bold Graphic Suede Belt Med/Small# 5479
Nothing says late-1980s like Big Bold color and this beauty certainly fits the bill!
The belt is done in a modified corset style with a wide elastic cinch back. The front of the belt has a V shape with a fuchsia suede background that is overlaid with a graphic composition of red and orange suede discs, The discs are diamond shaped, defined by an outline of black cord. Brass studs anchor the discs and the center is highlighted with a black on brass jeweled ornament. The effect is bold and graphic.
The front section is backed with black leather and it closes with Velcro. Caché label.
It has no size mark but it stretches and will fit a small/medium range. My estimate for the best range of measurements is from 26" up to 31". Over 31" it will feel tight and under 26" it will be loose (although the elastic can be shortened to make it smaller if you bring it to a shoe repair place, they should know how). When you compare your own measurements to this belt make sure you consider if you are going to wear it directly on your waist or lower towards the hip and measure yourself accordingly.
Excellent Condition - No flaws to note

1980s Wide Embellished Statement Belt Med/Sm# 5478
The opulent 1980s were a fabulous era for accessories. Belts, handbags, shoes, scarves, jewelry...all became fashion statements. Some of the coolest vintage belts I come across are from the 1980s. This amazing waist cincher is quintessential 80s. Done in a modified corset style, it has a V shaped front and closes with double hooks and grommet holes in back.
The leather is dark tan with a "reptile" embossed surface. The front is heavily embellished with ruched metallic-bronze and tan leather. Assorted golden medallions set with cabochon "stones" nestle into the folds of the ruching. A large 2 3/4" medallion acts as a focal point in front. The front of the belt measures 4" wide tapering to 1 1/2" in back. It is lined in black leather and was created for Caché.
I'm seeing this wild beauty with a fabulous knit dress or perhaps a body hugging, wide legged pantsuit.....no matter what you pair it with it's absolutely going to add a bit of spice to your outfit.
The size says small but it there are enough grommets to adjust it up to a medium. Keep in mind that the belt was designed to sit on the actual waist not lower on the hip so please use the following measurements when you are determining fit.
Belt will comfortably adjust from around 26" up to 29"

1980s Yves Saint Laurent 2" Wide Olive Leather Belt Med/Sm# 5484
Yves Saint Laurent wide leather belt made for Bergdorf Goodman.
The belt is classic but the subtle details whisper " designer couture". Trapunto stitched lines add texture to the dark olive leather. The buckle is darkened chrome, smooth and sleek. Belt is not oversized but wide, measuring 2" all around. Olive is a great neutral color. it looks well with earthy tones and some shades of gray but it can also add a nice "surprise" if you team it with some of the jewel tones. I like olive and red together...or purple...or saffron yellow...
The belt is lined with tan leather. The lining is stamped with the Yves Saint Laurent name/logo and there is a Bergdorf Goodman tag as well.
It will fit a range of waist sizes from small to medium and will adjust to the following range of measurements approx 25 1/2" to just under 29".
Excellent Condition - No flaws to note

Guys Vintage Tooled Leather Belt W Brass "Dave" Buckle 36# 5482
Great vintage, tooled leather belt for guys. Well, guys with the name Dave:)
The large (3 1/4" long X 2" wide) buckle is solid brass ...block letters spell Dave. Classic Southwestern tooled design on tan cowhide...sure would make a great gift !
I'm not sure of the era because it's a classic and there is no makers name on it, but I'm thinking 70s MAYBE early 80s. Like most western style belts this one has a snap feature so the buckle can be removed and switched off to another belt strap.
It's a size 36, which will fit measurements ranging from around 35" up to around 38".
Excellent Condition- This belt was used very little so the leather has little sign of wear. The buckle has a patina from age but there are no flaws to note.

Vintage Banana Republic Concho Style Belt Med.# 5485
Great looking vintage Banana Republic, brass and leather concho style belt.
I'm a big fan of concho style belts and I really love this vintage Banana Republic version with it's solid brass "conchos" and big brass buckle. The conchos have brass slides in back so they can be moved back and forth, just like the old time belts. Both conchos and buckle are stamped with a decorative Southwestern design. The buckle has a hook closure and is a nice size, measuring 2" X 3" . Each concho measures 3" long and just under 1 1/2" wide. The belt strap is dark brown cowhide, 1" wide.
I'm guessing this belt hails from the later 80s - early 90s because I believe I recall seeing them at the time. The Banana Republic stamp on back also reads Safari and Travel Clothing Company, and Made in Italy. It's a solid, fine quality belt that will last forever!
The size will adjust to a range of measurements from around 30" to just over 34" putting it in the Medium/Large range. Make sure you measure yourself where you plan to wear the belt (waist or lower near the hip) when you are determining fit.
Excellent condition - No flaws on the outside, penny sized red mark on the backside of the leather (does not affect the look and can't be seen while wearing of course)

Vintage Concho and Leather Fashion Belt medium# 5477
American Southwestern design has been inspiring fashion for many decades. It's unique and beautiful blending of Native American and Mexican/Spanish visual sensibilities is earthy, rich and soulful. There is nothing else like it.
The concho belt is iconic to the Southwest. Their exact history is unclear but they are believed to have been first created in the mid 1800s by Navajo craftsmen. The original materials were hammered silver disks strung on leather. Over time the disks became more decorative, some old belts were actually done with reworked silver dollars.
Twentieth century fashion has revived the concho style belt over and again since at least the 1940s, if not earlier. The belt I am showing here was done in the late 1980s. The "conchos" themselves are pot metal disks that have been riveted onto the leather belt. Not the real thing of course (authentic concho belts go for hundreds of dollars) but a very nice look. It has a decorative buckle and belt tip. Nice quality construction, it was made in Spain for Anne Taylor.
The size says large BUT this is an 80s large, made when belts were worn up on the smallest part of the waist, NOT down near the hip. Make sure you compare measurements.
Measurements adjust from 29"-31"
Excellent condition - No flaws to note
